A happy Halloween was had at Judges’ Lodgings in what turned out to be the last weekend of the season. Museum and Lancaster Castle staff decorated the building with all things spooktacular to create some atmosphere including a giant spider web across the main staircase. All staff and volunteers got in the swing of things with some fabulous fancy dress and Museum Assistant Jack Knight produced a fabulous trail while working from home. Lots of families dressed up and the museum had its busiest weekend of this tricky season with 192 people in, all done in a covid secure way. Now the prize entries have been quarantined for long enough, I’m off to drop the slime and toys prize to one lucky winner tonight. The last words go to Room Steward Mandy Whitehouse… it was such a fun and memorable occasion. It was lovely to see so many families enjoying a near normal experience and to hear the laughter of children echoing around the building.
