A visit to the Judges’ Lodgings Museum will inspire your class with the opportunity to explore original objects and get their hands on history. The team is dedicated to ensuring that your class have an entertaining and enjoyable time within the National Curriculum framework.

The house is home to historic period rooms where children and young people can try their hand at cleaning the pots in the kitchen, laying the table in the Dining Room and experiencing a real Victorian lesson in the school room. The museum offers sessions suitable for primary and secondary school children. Our school programme is run by Lancashire County Council heritage Learning Team through the Simply Schools Programme.

The museum is also a fantastic venue for a wide range of subject study areas including art, design, history and citizenship. Please call us to find out how we can accommodate your group. Teachers and adults on school trips visit us for FREE and teachers are invited to make a FREE preliminary site visit. Please call 01524 581254 or email [email protected]
