Volunteer For Us

The volunteer programme at Judges’ Lodgings is run by Lancashire County Council through the Lancashire Volunteer Partnership and we have volunteers working as Room Stewards and in the garden. We are currently looking for Room Stewards only:

Room Stewards

Volunteers are needed to create a warm, friendly and welcoming environment for our visitors. This enables them to find out more about our beautiful historic building during their visit.

The building has no lift and is on three floors, but volunteers could be involved only on the ground floor.

Room Steward volunteers should have a keen interest in local history and be happy talking to the public.

Training will be provided.

Garden team

Our garden volunteers help keep the grounds clean, tidy and attractive for visitors.

Although this role is around gardening, we are keen for volunteers to share their knowledge of the grounds and lodgings etc.

There will be some essential training for both roles.
