The Friends’ Summer Fair

The Friends hosted their first summer fair on Saturday 3rd June under a hot blue sky. It was held in the beautiful garden and there was the delightful and delicious monthly Victorian Tearoom as well.

Humholler ‘n’ Sing Community Choir entertained the audience with songs, old and new from around the world and we would like to thank Jude and the choir for coming and making such a beautiful sound.

Visitors enjoyed winning on the tombola, including afternoon tea at The Kings Arms and a generous voucher from Atkinsons. Fun was had on the buzz wire and coin dipping aswell as Guess the Weight of the Cake, Guess the Number of Sweets in the Jar and also Guess the Calories in the Fruit Basket. Visitors could also buy vintage china, and find out more about how to join the Friends to support the Judges Lodgings. Then, visitors were able to relax with tea and yummy cake in the courtyard. A great afternoon out.

Thanks to all those that came and to all the volunteers that made it possible and we raised £314 and hope to have a Summer Fair next year.

So we hope you will join us in 2024
