Do you or your family have a connection to the Judges’ Lodgings in Lancaster? Have you any memories of the Judges’ Lodgings up until 1975? If so, would you like to take part in a project to record this history?

In 2025, the Judges’ Lodgings Museum is celebrating 400 years of being the oldest townhouse in Lancaster. It has seen many people coming and going – the Judges in their red robes attending the Assizes at Lancaster Castle, magistrates presiding over the Petty and Juvenile courts in the Judges’ Lodgings itself, and the housekeepers, caretakers and servants who looked after the Judges when they stayed here.

Did you ever watch the Judges leave the House for the Assizes or perhaps you visited as a contractor or supplier to the house before 1980?
